Blackstone Millville Marching Band Show (MusicFest)
Saturday September 21, 2019 at Bellingham
Thank you all for volunteering to work at our show. It’s only with the help of dedicated volunteers that we can have such a successful program.
If you have a pick-up truck of a large vehicle and are able to help us transport material from BMR to Bellingham, please come to BMR between 7:00 and 7:30am. We will try to get to Bellingham around 8:30 to start setting up.
If you have any of the following materials to share with us for the show, please bring it directly to the field between Bellingham Middle School and Bellingham High School between 9:00am and 9:30am. Use the access road adjacent to the field to deliver the items. Please make sure that your stuff has your name on it, or is otherwise marked, for you to identify it after the show, so you can take it home with you afterwards. We need these item
- Chairs, I ask all volunteers to bring their own folding chair to use during the show.
- Tables, preferably gray plastic folding tables we need about 20 of them
- Canopy Tents, preferably the Easy Up kind., we need around 12 of them
Please let me know what you are bringing, and please don’t be upset if you bring something and we do not use it. It’s better to have it on hand just in case than to need it and not have it.
If you can stay after delivering the items to help with setting up, we would greatly appreciate the help. I ask that you move your vehicle to one of the first two parking lots at Bellingham High School and walk down to the field area for setting up. If you cannot stay, that’s okay, just come back when you can.
If you volunteered to work concessions, parking or greeter/escort, please arrive between 9:30 and 10:00.
All other volunteers are asked to come with their chairs by 12:30. Please park up at one of the first two lots at Bellingham High school, and bring your chair down with you.
If you cannot make it on time, don’t sweat it. Come when you are able. We really need and appreciate the help.
If you have a dependable Middle school aged child who would like to help out, bring them along. They can help us by running information up to the announcer’s booth. Or they can help guide bands to the field from the warm-up areas. A voucher for lunch will be given to students who help us.
It looks like it’s going to be sunny and warm on Saturday, so please bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, fluids, etc.
Most importantly, it is our job to help ensure that all our guests (students, instructors, parents, family and friends), no matter where they are from, have a positive experience at our show. The happier they are, the more they will spend, and the more likely that they will come back next year. If you have questions, feel free to ask.
