Call for Photos

We’re putting out a call for photos for the marching band end-of-season slideshow that Jeremy Folster so generously donates his time to put together.

If you have pictures you would like to provide, please upload them here: https://cloud.ashdowntech.com/files/bmmaband

For parents of seniors, we’d love to have a picture from each of your child’s prior marching band seasons if you have them.

To provide enough time to put this together, all pictures must be uploaded by Sunday, November 7th.

An important note about New England States from Mr. Shafer:

I want to deliver this news immediately even though I don’t have answers for the questions it sparks.

USBands has postponed this Saturday’s New England States Championships to next week on WEDNESDAY, November 3rd (no timing or schedule has been released).

I’m not sure if we will be able to attend, not because of busing or conflicts with staff, but for the obvious potential student conflicts.

I’m also not sure if we will be moved to the first few slots at Nationals if we don’t perform. (waiting to hear back about that).

I will be sending out a survey to the kids via Google Classroom in the next few hours askingabout their availability on Wednesday. However, I’m asking students to check with their parents/guardians FIRST. Please be sure to check with your child and ensure that they have filled in the survey promptly.

We’re pleased to announce that the cookie dough is coming in and will be available to be picked-up this Thursday, 10/28, starting at 5pm at BMR.

 

General Meeting on Tuesday, 10/19

BMMA will be holding a general meeting on Tuesday, October 19th @ 6:30pm at BMR High School.

We welcome everyone to come and hear what we are doing, offer your ideas and join in the discussion.

We will be having 3 board members leave at the end of the school year, so if you have been thinking about getting more involved, coming to the general meetings is a great way to start. Running for a board position does require that you have attended some general meetings to be eligible.
