Dear 6-12 Music Families,
I would like to share a new protocol with you that we, as a Department, will be implementing for the upcoming concerts in December.
In an effort to teach concert etiquette, foster a more supportive and musically appreciative culture, and offer performers a larger audience to entertain, students will be required to stay for the entire duration of the concert. For example, on Monday, December 16th, Wind Ensemble members will arrive for the start of the concert to watch the concert band. When concert band musicians are done performing, they will sit in a designated section and watch the wind ensemble. Middle school musicians will be following the same format.
If there is a necessity to take your child immediately following their performance, please let their Director know in advance, if possible.
